Loughran Gallery present Extinct by Dave White at Kiklo Spaces.
Featuring oils and works on paper from the artists Extinct series. this exhibition explores a collection of large scale canvases. Installed at Kiklo, the display of Apex predators relate to their surroundings with strength and awe. White comments:
'For over a decade I have created works that focus on the inhabitants of the natural world, their beauty is something we take for granted in the abstracted world we live in. Their fragility and scarcity and their fight for survival has been the catalyst and focus of my work.
‘Extinct’ is the series I have spent all my life researching, from a childhood obsession that has never left. This collection focuses on creatures whose magnificence, power and presence are only felt when one is confronted by skeletal remains. As a child I would endlessly draw them, visualising their movement. This series hopes to connect and resonate with the viewer, imprinting the beauty of what could be lost in our world today.'
Kiklo Spaces is a multi-dimensional automotive experience space that encourages individuals to have a deeper interaction with interesting cars. A gallery for supercars and canvases.
Founder Chris Vassilopoulos says: “We see cars as more than transport – they are the foundation for friendships, art forms, dreams. Our spaces have been designed from a blank sheet to care for and enjoy cars in a new way.”
