Following his artist residency at The Hamilton Princess in Bermuda, Dave White experienced close encounters with oceanic wildlife, including sea turtles in their natural habitat. This direct engagement with the marine environment became a defining influence, inspiring his subsequent body of work, Oceanic.
During his time on the island, White produced a series of digital and sketch-based studies, drawing deeply from the surrounding landscape and marine life. These works laid the foundation for the Oceanic series, set to launch in June 2026, translating his firsthand experiences into a powerful visual exploration of the natural world.
A further highlight of the residency was White’s collaboration with the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI), where he hosted an educational art workshop for local children, encouraging them to paint their favourite sea creatures—an initiative that reflects his ongoing commitment to creativity, education, and conservation.
